How Ovexly Decides Trade Results: Entry, Expiry, Win, Loss and Draw
A fair platform tells you exactly how a trade is judged before you place it. This is the complete rule Ovexly uses for every UP/DOWN trade, with worked numbers, so there is never a result you cannot explain from your own chart.
The rule in one line
At expiry, the price on your chart is compared with your entry price, both rounded to the decimals the chart shows. UP wins if the price is at least one point higher, loses if it is lower, and is a draw if it is exactly the same. DOWN is the mirror image. A draw returns your full stake.
1. Your entry price
When you tap UP or DOWN, your trade opens at the live price at that moment, the one you are looking at. It is rounded to the instrument's displayed precision: five decimals for EUR/USD (for example 1.14672), two for gold or Bitcoin. The entry appears as a small marker on the chart and in your open-trades list.
2. Your expiry
You choose how long the trade runs. Typical choices go from 5 seconds up to 5 minutes (5s, 15s, 30s, 1m, 2m and 5m), and the exact options can differ by asset. The open-trades panel shows a progress bar and a countdown to the exact second of expiry.
3. Your exit price and the result
At the expiry moment the server takes the price at that instant and rounds it to the same precision as your entry. Then it compares the two:
| Your trade | Exit above entry | Exit equals entry | Exit below entry |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP | Win | Draw (stake returned) | Loss |
| DOWN | Loss | Draw (stake returned) | Win |
A worked example on EUR/USD
- You open UP at 1.14672.
- Expiry price 1.14673: one point higher, so the trade wins.
- Expiry price 1.14672: unchanged, so it is a draw and your stake comes back.
- Expiry price 1.14671: one point lower, so the trade loses.
Why rounding to the displayed price matters
Price feeds carry more decimals than any chart shows. If results were judged on hidden decimals, you could watch the price return exactly to your entry on screen and still be given a win or a loss. Ovexly judges both entry and exit at the precision you can see, so the price on your screen is the price that decides.
How much you get back
The payout percentage is shown on the ticket before you open the trade and is fixed for that trade. Example with a $10 stake at an 82% payout:
| Result | Profit | Returned to balance |
|---|---|---|
| Win | +$8.20 | $18.20 |
| Draw | $0.00 | $10.00 |
| Loss | −$10.00 | $0.00 |
The result and your updated balance appear the moment the trade settles at expiry, with a win, loss or draw notification.
Common questions
What happens in a draw on Ovexly?
If the expiry price equals your entry price at the displayed precision, the trade is a draw: profit is $0 and your full stake is returned.
How far does the price need to move to win?
One displayed point in your direction. On EUR/USD that is 0.00001.
Can the payout change after I open a trade?
No. The payout percentage shown when you open the trade is the one used to settle it.
Who runs the platform that settles my trades?
Ovexly is operated by Ovexly Trading LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA. See About Ovexly.
